For over 15 years, MEDIAN has provided supported living services for people with addiction problems and an additional mental health condition, who wish to continue living as independently in their own home or in one of our managed shared flats.
The aim of all supported living services is to find flexible solutions for each individual. The services we provide are therefore always focused on the individuals resources and challenges.
Services include
- Domestic and self-care support:
Training to maintain a home, such as home maintenance, shopping and food preparation, as well as support in dealing with local authorities, financial planning and debt-management. - Health and mobility support:
Crisis intervention in the event of relapses and mental health crises, relapse prevention through one-to-one meetings/meeting groups, training in the use of medical care services - Interpersonal interactions, relationships and communication training:
Social communication, signposting and support to engage with the local community, and support with conflict resolution - Opportunities to participate in community, social and civic life:
Training to have a daily structure and plan daily routines, including leisure activities, days out, opportunities to exercise and take part in vocational training - Other important areas of life (including economic life):
Training in dealing with personal finance and administration, including debt-management
