Helping people to help themselves
Within gynaecological rehabilitation the aim is to support women with or after a gynaecological disease to find a better way to cope with the disease and its effects, to prevent relapses and to better adjust to their everyday life again.
The treatment programmes are primarily for patients with gynaecological-oncological diseases as well as benign complaints such as endometriosis. The main diagnoses include:
- Mammary carcinoma (cancer of the breast)
- Ovarian carcinoma (cancer of the ovaries)
- Corpus carcinoma (cancer of the uterus)
- Cervical carcinoma (cancer of the cervix)
- Endometriosis
- Urinary incontinence
Women supporting women
Ensuring a confidential environment is essential. Within a trusting environment individuals have the opportunity to openly discuss and address sensitive matters, such as altered body perception post-surgery, issues related to sexuality and relationships. A profound level of empathy and understanding is steadfastly ensured in these discussions.
