We place a particular emphasis on supporting patients dealing with oncological and haematological conditions, which include bone marrow or stem cell transplants. Despite ongoing advancements in cancer treatment, a significant number of patients continue to struggle with the challenges of this condition and its treatment.
Many experience nutritional imbalances, fatigue, pain, and immune system irregularities as a consequence of their condition or of treatment. Implementing impactful rehabilitation strategies has the potential to alleviate or even surmount these secondary or co-existing symptoms.
Treatment plan
Specific oncological rehabilitation helps to prepare patients for life after cancer – both physically and socially.
At the beginning of rehabilitation treatment, a medical and oncological assessment is carried out, and a goal or goals are agreed with the patient.
To achieve these goals, various therapies are used, in particular:
- Physiotherapy
- Sports therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Health education
- Seminars and discussion groups
- Individual counselling
