CAMHs therapy services focus on enabling young people to develop skills and understanding to grow into healthy individuals and navigate their future successfully.

Tier 4 services

Our general acute units treat adolescents who need inpatient psychiatric treatment. Mental illnesses such as affective disorders and acute psychoses are common conditions.

High dependency units

If being cared for in a general acute unit is not possible due to a patient's complex needs, or the severity of their conditions, we offer high dependency units with specialist nursing staff in environments adapted to accommodate a higher level of risk.

Psychiatric intensive care units (PICU)

A PICU is the right environment for a young person whose immediate level of risk to themselves or others is so great that they cannot be safely managed in a general acute or high dependency unit.

Low secure services are provides for young people both with mental health presentations (including serious self-harm and complex needs) and we also offer specialist low secure services for young people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and additional risks and complexities.
